i have alot of electronics in my marauder, and they really bog down the electrical system when i have them all going (making the lights brown out, run rough, etc)

how can i fix this ? maybe a heavy duty alternator? if so, can anyone recommend a good brand name heavy duty alternator? would i also need to upgrade my battery, or any other components ?

I have a 200 amp, forget the name of the company but they sell on ebay. It's not PA. Never had a problem with it.

I know it's been discussed, but remind my dumb butt how to swap from the stationary pulley on the new for the clutch pulley on the old. Looks like there should be a tool...

There is a special tool for removing the clutch pulley. It comes in the trilogy kit, so anybody who is Trilogized should have one.

It's the same one. I think it's DB Electronics or something like that.

I got mine from Reinhart Automotive. It comes as a kit with all the extra
heavy duty wires for your safety and our MM's. Also has the specific clutch
pully that is for us. The whole kit was designed for our cars.

Gave me all the power I needed and the price was right.

I got a PA performance alternator and have been EXTREMELY happy with their service and product. I have purchased three alternators from different vendors and all the others failed within a month. The other companies all had "Lifetime" warranties, but when they take over five weeks to "Warranty Repair" the returned product, how good is that warranty? You get what you pay for the product is only as good as the customer service of the repair/replacement.

I say PA Performance all the way!

I'm running a 200 amp alternator that is putting out 138 amps at HOT idle with the Factory clutch pulley on it!

I just got an Ohio Generator for my Marauder. It was the best one I could get my hands on. I have been dealing with them for many years. All of my big stereo cars have them and I have had very good luck with them. Both of my world record holding cars had them also. make sure whatever you get comes with a good warranty. They built it monday for me, and the test sheet said it did over 200 amps.
Before this when I would come to a light with the defroster, rear defrost, and heated seats on the voltage would drop and a stoplight to 11.1 volts. Now she holds steady, even with the system on. Great company to deal with also.

Just got the new HD alternator today from DR, as expected. Looks real nice. The heavy duty wiring harness is well made.
I'll post more when I get around to installing it.

Looks like I'm now in the market for a new alternator.

The battery light has been coming on and the AutoMeter Ultra Lite II has been showing 11. Used a tester today and confirmed it.

Just called DB and ordered a 200amp model in satin black.

Getting ready for this Kentucky meet is becoming expensive.
