Moparzz joined in August 2002. He lives only a half hour away from us, so we became friends through MM.Net. After he sold his Marauder, we remained friends. He's very involved with the local classic car club, having a passion for Mopars.

Bobby was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor last year. His wife, Laurel, just wrote me a note: "How things change over the years, right? Life has a new direction for us now. We are exploring each new treatment option - some may be out of state..." A number of local public safety personnel shaved their heads as a fundraiser for Bobby, along with a big fundraising banquet to help offset his extraordinary medical expenses.

Our prayers that health is restored are sent for Bobby and Laurel. May the knowledge that so many are thinking of them bring comfort during these dark days.

He is local to me as well! Never met him though...

He will be in my prayers... hard to lose a fellow marauderer... and a fellow FD brother!

It is with sadness that I share with you the passing of our former member, Bobby Johnson (Moparzz). Bobby passed away yesterday morning. I had just received an email on Christmas that he had stopped all treatments. He suffered a stroke a couple of weeks ago due to dehydration.

A true car nut, Bobby owned dozens and dozens of classic cars, mostly Mopars, over the years.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Laurel, his family and his brothers and sisters at the Harwich, MA Fire Dept.

Rest in Peace, Bobby J.
