I've read TOP 10, 25, and 50 lists and worst list. What about cars you've owned? What cars have you owned over the years. Here's a list of what I can remember. There's probably some missing.... There are some great memories on this list. I still have the 66 Mustang, 84 Trans Am, and my beater truck 88 Chevy Cheyenne not listed on my signature. Of course there are several I regret selling (69 400 Firebird and 69 429 2 door Marquis - Fast and looked better than the Marauder of the day) and some I wish I had never bought (84 Camaro 4 cyl - 25 trips to the dealer for engine problems).

No, just been driving since I was 15 when I bought my first car. I turn 50 next month and that's 35 years of driving with a bad car habit.

I am 41 years old & have owned 40 different cars & trucks. I understand the "bad car habit".

'87 Pontiac Firebird - 2.8 V6/5-speed, gray/gray, no options, 177k when I sold it. Looking back, I romanticize about that car because it was my first, but I do NOT miss crawling in through the hatch when the car would freeze me out in the winter. Even worse was being frozen in and having to drive around with the heat full-blast until the door would open or the window would roll down. (PICTURE) (http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w110/jackiegleason/cars/bird97.jpg)

'89 Chrysler LeBaron - 2.5 I-4/auto, blue/gray, no options besides A/C, got great gas mileage (30avg/37hwy), ran awesome until the last month I had it, and I got laid in it (not because of it) more than any of my other cars. Lasted 4 years and only cost $1500. (PICTURE) (http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w110/jackiegleason/cars/lebaron2.jpg)

'86 Nissan P/U - ???, yellow & rust/tan. No options, not even power steering. Bought this one in summer of '04 (?) and sold it later that fall. Belonged to a neighbor and was dependable for him and dependable for me. Great, but ugly, truck. I think it's still running. (PICTURE) (http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w110/jackiegleason/cars/nissan1.jpg)

'77 Chrysler Cordoba - 400CI V8/auto, burgundy/burgundy. Naugahyde seats, center console with missile launcher shift knob, A/C, AM/FM/8-track, PW. Nice car. Swapped out the Lean Burn ignition and Thermoquad carb for a Mallory box with an Edelbrock Performer. Straight pipes. Sold it with 93k for down payment $ on my house. (PICTURE) (http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w110/jackiegleason/cars/frontright.jpg)

'04 Ford Focus ZX3 - 2.0L Zetec/5-spd, yellow/gray. Only car on the list purchased brand new. Crank windows, manual locks, but it had the Pirelli tires and sport rims, as well as A/C and a Blaupunkt OEM stereo. I loved that stereo. Fun car for awhile, but it ate tires and the novelty wore off rather quickly. I did, however, manage to have the dashboard autographed by Robert Yates, Dale Jarrett, and Elliott Sadler at a meet 'n' greet in Charlotte, NC (see picture (http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w110/jackiegleason/cars/ZX3signed1.jpg)) Sold it with 37k miles, just out of the b2b warranty. (PICTURE) (http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w110/jackiegleason/cars/masonslanding3.jpg)

'92 Pontiac Firebird - 3.1L V6/5-spd, blk/charcoal. Nostalgia reared its ugly head with this one. I was able to look past the rot and 20-footer paint job and buy this one, a tribute to my FIRST car. After realizing the body rot and blown rear trans seal were more than I was willing to put into the car, on top of everything else, I cut my losses. Chicks dug this car immensely, but I didn't. I'm done with Fireturds for the rest of my life. (PICTURE) (http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w110/jackiegleason/cars/92bird8.jpg)

'02 Mercury Grand Marquis GS - still own it!

Say what? When I owned a lot of them cars I couldn't afford tools, most of the time I was lucky to have gas money.Heck, for a lot of time having tools wouldn't have done me much good cause I wouldn't have known how to throw a wrench at them anyway.
I remember stopping at the gas station that used to be at the southwest corner of Harlem and Irving and buying reprocessed drain oil in glass bottles for $.15 a quart cause my rides were mostly beaters and usually burned a bit of oil.

Sorry for the re-post. I did do a search, just didn't see it. Anyway, looks like a new group of respondents. One this is sure, the folks on this site have excellent taste in automobiles. There's some great cars listed on this thread.

LOL...Copied and updated my post from 2004 thread!

1968 Ford LTD Country Squire Wagon (woody): 302 V8/auto...parent's hand-me-down. (ran pretty good for a tiny V8 in a HUGE car...sound familiar?)
1970 Volkswagon Beetle: 4 cyl/4spd. (very dependable transportation...but SLOW!)
1965 Ford Mustang GT 2+2 Fastback: 289 V8 4bbl/4spd. (rare, classic...hit & run wrecked when I was in college...man I wish I still had that beauty!)
1979 Ford Mustang Turbo: 2.3 4 cyl/4spd. (fun car, but a carburated turbo)
1985 Ford Mustang GT 5.0: V8/5spd. (Great car, fun to pick on IROCs..still own it. Next project car...needs a FRPP 392 Stroker motor! )
1989 Ford Taurus Wagon: 3.0 V6/auto (work vehicle...ran 249,000 miles on that one!)
1984 Ford Mustang GT Turbo Convertible: 2.3 4 cyl/5spd. (bought it used, rare car...had to have a ragtop! still own it. Restoring it + adding 450hp Turbo 2.5 )
1988 Ford Turbo T-Bird: 2.3 4 cyl/5 spd. (basket case...parts car for the Mustang GT Turbo...parted it out and sold the hulk)
1996 Chevy S10 Blazer: 4.3 V6/auto (work vehicle...200,000 miles, engine and trans were bulletproof but lots of squeeks and rattles!
2000 Nissan Pathfinder: 3.5 V6/auto (nice smooth SUV, traded it in on the Marauder! )
1965 Shelby 427 Cobra: 468 all aluminum V8 2x4bbl/5 spd. (built an ERA kit with my brother...god awful SCARY ride...gotta wear Depends when you punch it!) still own it.
2003 Mercury Marauder: V8/auto (LOVE THIS CAR!...driving this ranks second only to the 427 Cobra..and I don't have to wear Depends...YET! ) still own it.
2005 Subaru Legacy GT Turbo: 2.5 4 cyl/auto (my new work vehicle...fast, fun and it handles/stops great...needed 4wd, but I'm sick of SUVs ride and lousy gas mileage) still own it.
