I am thinking of getting one as a daily driver because my other cars keep costing me way too much just to keep them running. :mad2:

I was thinking of used because I probably cannot afford new especially with zero credit.

Anyone have one and how has it been?

Keep in mind I will need to get one that still has a warranty or probably 2005+

Hey Dom,why don't you pick up a CV P71,you seemed to like mine alright.
There's a red 98 ex fire chiefs car on crownvic.net with less than 90,000 miles on it in nice shape for a good price,it's here in central,il.It ain't a Town Car but it ain't 20 or 30 grand $ either
Correction,it's a 97 aero with 81,000 miles on it for $2400,here's a link.http://www.crownvic.net/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1677291#Post1677291

I am thinking about a T/C or about another MGM for replacing my existing daily driver, a MGM LSE 2003. I am driving 40K + miles per year. I would wait one more year, though, as my current MGM still looks healthy at 150K miles.

Unfortunately, it would be very difficult to find a fresh LSE. That is why I am looking onto the T/C side. Same base, same engine, same gearbox and a priori, same excellent reliability. Besides, easy to tune up to a satisfying level. According to reliability polls, the T/C and MGM made in 2007 are on top. Ultimately, I am also thinking about a second MM. I read that they can reach quite smoothly a consistent mileage.

I need something that will not break down every month Zack, but if you say it's good I will take your word for it. You're probably the only person I would ever buy a used car from. I'll check it out this weekend or something and we'll talk. Maybe we can work something out if either one of us strikes a deal with one another.

Anyone else have any info?

My Marauder was fine until I suped it up and the weak parts started to give out. :(

Absolutely love my '93 Dom, same year as Zacks..?

Anyways, if I weren't getting a bike I would convert my front end to a 95-97 and repaint the whole car. Love it that much.

Maybe check a low-buck, low-mile MGM out? I love my '02.

There you go!

I need something with a warranty Andrew. The people at Caddy laughed at me when I asked if the Coupe DeVille had any chance of coming back. I asked this at the Chicago Auto Show this year.

Why is it the cool/old cars never last? :(

Look for a nice used CM/CV at your local Ford or L&M Dealer.

I feel the same way Dom, but when people stop buying them, they stop making them.....:(

Based on what I see and hear from the Livery cars in NYC, Lincoln town Cars, and any Panther platform vehicle made in the last 20 years are extremely reliable. These guys drive these cars any where from 500,000 to 700,000 miles with only basic maintenance. The reason they get rid of the car at that point is only because it is several years old and they want the latest version. A newer car gets more customer business. Many of these guys buy used Town Cars for their friends and families with 200,000 miles on them, because they feel the cars are just broken in at the point.

Dom, TC's are cheap and plentiful. I guess you know all about the Pimpmobile, by now, and have seen it. It's an '06 and had 9,000 miles on it when I bought it for 24.9.

BTW, when I was looking, Brian (royalpita) sent me the link to a dealer's website in FL who specializes in them. Had I not found this one, locally, it would have been worth a one way airfare to get one in FL and drive it back. :)

3 or them don't exactly run.

Let's say I have a few cars on my hands that need other hands on them before I can get my back hands on them.

Mike I liked your car, but was never too fond of the color.

Still a TC has the best ride ever. Period.

.

I wasn't offering it for sale, Dom, the post was meant to illustrate what's available and how much you can expect to pay for one.:D
