I will be adding a pioneer Avic-Z2 and taking out my Avic-N3. I see everyone has multiple writeups for installing the D series but what about the Z series. I got the install covered connections wise. Just the cosmetic end. John do you recommend the same Scosche kit you use for the D series for the Z series as well. I saw one pic on here where it looked like they someone used the same kit bit cut off the top and bottom. Let me know when you get a chance so I can purchase that kit from you Monday morning. Thanks alot in advance. And if anyone else has pics of the z series install for cosmetic reason that would be great or any pointers on locking it in tight. i wouldnt want it poppin out.....:lol:Jake knows what I mean on that one.
It uses the same kit as the Other double din radios but i think needs a little trimming. Need to get a back brace on it!

My fault for not being more specific. Just the Scosche fit kit. I have everything else from my Avic-N2. Buddy of mine gave me a great deal on his Z2.
The kit is 12.00 plus shipping. You should buy one local. By the time you pay shipping it will be more.

I recently discovered a 'best kits' might be better. It's loose on the D3 and F series, but should provide better clearance for the motorized face on the Z series and D1/D2.
Free with your address.

I assume this will be OK since John offered local. Also, send John the kit info i send you so he has it for his arsenal of info!!!

Nathan will try this kit and if it works (which I truly don't know for sure - I THINK it will work), he'll pass the info to John and the rest of us!
Got the message Rich! Its ok to post!

Cool. I have this kit from an individual who purchased local and the fit SUCKS (hole too big) on an F series. However, I think it will provide good clearance for the door slide out on D1/D2 and Z. The face plate is deep, though. So I'm curious.
We'll see!
