Ok guys if you were going to make a new short block would you make it a stroker? alum or steel? compression? I imagine some have done this so let us know! Was it worth the extra money?

Aluminum block, stroker if you want the extra cubes....you're paying for a forged crank anyway.
Good rods and pistons to go with the crank.
10:1 CR for N/A or normal boost applications. (< 12-15 psi boost)
I've got a line on a TEKSID block if you are interested.

Teksid block all the way! Pick you new displacement 5.0, 5.1, 5.2 or 5.3L.
