In addition to the dealership there are about 4 million places to buy touch up paint.
Who have you used and have been happy with and/or who should I avoid?
Thanks!
Dealer = $7 for the bottle (Black UA)...not really worth shopping around IMHO.

We'll just consider you "owing me one":lol:
We are VERY fortunate to have a GREAT dealer, in the A-T-L.
Although...they don't have cool cruise-ins like you:up:

Guess what. My dealer says they don't even have the order number yet for '04 MM DTR touch up paint. My paint code is JL.
When I explained that DTR has been on a number of other Ford products they said "but not with the JL paint code". Could DTR be a different DTR from one product to the next?
From my understanding, DTR is unique in its own paint code to the marauder. DTR has been on Crown Vics and Marquis's for years but it seems no 2 are alike. Did you know there are 3 different paint codes for the 2003 black marauders?

Wow! No I didn't.
They said they will get an "update" next month so I will go in then and see what they've got then.

Agent, your dealer doesn't sound too smart. It took me 30 second to find the part number. ALBZ-19500-6771A. It is unique to the Marauder. How many would you like??? {ROOKIES} LOL RAY

My sister lives in Evans GA. Maybe I'll relocate and get a job at your dealer and have cruise nights. LOL RAY

Nice work! And fast!
PM me cost including shipping.
While your at it, just out of curiosity, what is the part number for the DTR grill?
Logan got me this far:
3W3Z-8200-AAA is the black one. AAB, AAC, AAD, AAE are the other colors.
My dealer got me this info:
AAA = Black (Confiming Logan)
AAC = Blue
AAD = Silver
So AAB and AAE are unaccounted for. Maybe the other 2 shades of black from 2003?
If you can find that, send me a price + ship.
Thank you very much!

Zack is right, he saw first hand what those 3 colors looked like on my car before the final complete repaint. If you need paint work done on your MM's make sure the body shop knows what they are doing so they don't hack the paint job.

Actually DTR is a new colour. The previous colour was simply "Toreador red" which was replaced by "Matador red"
What are the three codes for Black used on the Marauder?

Are the 3 colors used on different parts of the car?
Grill, sheet metal, bumpers perhaps??

RC they are all color code UA, but what they did was create 3 different shades of color code UA. One has a grey tint to it, one has a brown tint to it, and one is the deep rich black that was put on our MM's. If you need anything painted, the body shop needs to be sure and use the right tint. What I found out is that the 3 shades all look the same under flouresent lights. The only real way to tell the difference is to put the car under the sunlight. What happend to my car jparrie, was that it had some scratches and blemishes when I took delivery. It took 3 trips back to the dealer to get it right, and as soon as I get my Explorer back from my BS I'm taking the MM in to get it finished the right way. Unfortunately my selling dealer used a less than quality BS and now I'm just taking charge and having the finishing touches done on the car to make it right. The overall complete paint on the car is all right, they just didn't paint the door jambs. It is really obvious when you look at it.
