View Full Version : What Fuel Do You Use?

With all that is happening in todays society regarding money. I was just curious if anyone is using any other fuel other than premium. I use only premium. What do you fellow Marauder owners use?
Another thing I foregot to mention. Of the many times I have worked at the Citgo refinery in Lockport Illinois over the last 4 or 5 years. I was surprised to see how many other brand fuel companies filling up their tankers with Citgo products. The same goes for the Mobile refinery in Joliet. So I gues what I am saying is dont always be so judgmental of fuel brands. You could always get a full tank of crappy fuel from any gas station.

I only use 93 Octane from BP or Sunoco. I'll use Citgo if I have to.

I use to think the same way about gas stations. I have used Costco 93 for years. The only problem I had with pumped gas was in Hagerstown Maryland at a Exxon dealer near the mall. My engine rattled and knocked up and down the mountainous terrain.

:argue: You must be buying at discount stations on native reserves, dood. Stop buying your gas at Lucky's Gas Mart and Taxidermy Emporium!
Premium is 93 octane at reputible stations, and Husky/Petro-Canada have 94! I'm quite sure that's the only reason my engine hasn't gone "boom" yet.
My GT40 pump is being installed right now, along with my a/f meter, so no more fuel problems. Picking it up in a few hours.:banana:

Some places only get 91. Where we are there are only 2 places with 93, so I use those. We used to only have one place within 20 miles that had 93. Thankfully close to me...

sunoco 94 almost always. If I can't find a 94 station I run 93. I don't really like running 93 with a 93 tune, but that's just me

Not to bust balls too bad;
I worked across the street from a distribution hub for tankers(fuel haulers) every "fuel name" I could think of was filling from the same tanks.

Same hub, different lines. I work right across from the Petro-Canada terminal at our current studio (Mammoth), and all the majors come in. The discount vendors also come in, and the pull up to the same place. Only difference is they get the fuel with the avgas dilute. Same piping, just a different pipe path with a few flicks of switches. It used to be cheaper, but now there is very little surplus avgas dilute around since the aviation industry isn't exactly thriving. Even discount vendors are charging the same as the majors most of the time now, it's the same gas most of the time.

I only use 93 or better in the MM and usually from Sunoco, Shell, or Exxon. I have the Lidio 93 tune. Our other "premium" cars will get Sunoco 91. My Sunoco has the 4 grades, 87, 89, 91, 93.

Too bad you don't live around Downers Grove here in the glorious Chicago burbs. Head to Delta Sonic on fabulous Ogden Avenue/US Rte 34, get some 104 octane and a car wash all in the same stop.
