Canadian 2004 300A's

Apparently we're still getting 300A's in Canada for 2004.
Note in-dash clock, but heated seats like the 300B. Basically the same car as mine but with the addition of heated seats, also note that the passenger seat is now only 6-way power, mine is 8-way, same as drivers.
Order code is definitely 300A. These may be rarer than the original 300A's because I can't see them selling as many as they did in 2003.
PS: I can't believe that the Canadian website is ahead of the US with the 2004's. Must be something to do with the 12 hour time difference.

It's about the same as yours (without rebates) if you do the currency conversion. Besides, because they're being built in Canada for Canadians, I like to think that they're putting a little more TLC into them.

You're right- that red does look sharp.

You said we're still getting 300A's here, but the link shows heated seats like a 300B. What would mine be? (Build date Oct/02- TC but no heated seats)

At the link I also noticed: No TC button (I thought all Cdn cars had it), and the compass in the rear view mirror instead of the overhead console.

I also wonder if it has been de-contented like I've heard some members mention.

If you explore the site a bit (features, etc), you'll see Trac. control is standard. Could be an old file photo from original 300A's or a shadow hiding the button.
The order code as stated is 300A. Yours is likely a Canadian 300A.
They are different in the fact that they all came with Trac. control from day 1, but with the mini spare as opposed to full size.
As for the compass, it could be in the mirror to accomodate the shorter overhead console we've heard about (think moonroof), or it could be a GM photo.
As far as decontented, I can't tell if it has the front map pockets or remote fuel door release from the pix.

I doubt it has the clock. why would they only put clocks in the 'Canadian' ones?

No, the only Merc. products available in Canada anymore are GM and MM. They are both sold thru Ford dealerships. Likewise, only one website: www.ford.ca.
We can't even buy a CV up here unless you're a fleet buyer.

As far as all 2004's being 300A's, lets wait and see what the US website order code is. With regards to the clock, please see my post above. It's due to the 12 hour time difference.

All the first build 2003 Marauders were model 300 "A"'. Later, they had a major revision, causing revision "B". If they had had another major revision, it would have been a 300 "C".

All current build 2004 Marauders are model 300 "A". There haven't been any revisions yet.

So to follow, if there was going to be a 2005 Marauder, it would have started out as a 300 "A".

Just because one has a 2004 300A doesn't mean it's the same as a 2003 300A.

At least that's how I understand things. Logan or anybody else feel free to pipe in here if I'm explaining this wrong.

Canada does everything ahead of the the US due to the earlier harvest. In Canada Thanksgiving is in October. Canada Day is July 1, before Independance Day here in the US. The Canadians even celebrate Christmas and New Years Day a month earlier. :D

I have a 2004 and it is documented as a 300A.

If later in the year they make some changes, then the new cars with such changes will then become a 300B.

I dunno guys, my car is masculine ... very masculine. As a matter of fact when I go out in my car we stare at girls and occasionally the big black car tries to pick a fight with little cars.

Maybe my car is a feminine car trapped in a masculine car. Do I have to take it to the dealer and get a gender reassignment? What parts get cut off in that operation? Ford doesn't have an op code for that do they? It doesn't turn into a Sable does it? Will it start taking me to flower shows instead of steakhouses?

The 2004 on dispaly at the dealer here is a 2004 red one. window sticker says 300A. And it don't have none of them frilly french pictures on the gauges either...
