Does anyone know where to get the clear plastic sticky film floormat covers? I believe it comes on cars when they are brand new. It is like a very thin clear plastic film that adheres to the carpet on the floor. And may I add it does a real nice job! Problem is my film is kinda wearing out and I would love to keep using it(I cant believe it lasted me 56k miles though!)


I've never known if you can find this type of material. Maybe at a home depot or an advanced auto store?


Does anyone know where I can buy these? Please don't tell me they only come on new cars and aren't available to the general public?

Try www.autopia.org, they are a detailing site, and I remember a while back a link that was put up for that film.

hey thanks on all the info guys! I couldn't find them at the dealer or anything it just have the temporary paper mats. I'll try that website. I just checked the autopia website didnt have it either.

Hey thanks a bunch! I just ordered them! I'm so relieved! The way I do it is is cover all the carpet with the adhesive layer and then just put the floor mats over it. Does a great job and looks like a new car!

Just for reference - I keep my carpet AND floormats looking new buy throwing a giant floormat from a Dodge Ram on top of everything. Lift it out and it looks new underneath.

Are you talking about for the rear floors? Is it one piece from the left, center,to the right rear floor? If so, I might have to get into that for the back! the center carpet bugs the hell out of me if I have three people in the back
