I cannot believe how many people did not choose the correct one! Take a look, and see if you can choose the right penny. No cheating; Do not look at a real penny first- I know you've seen a real one! See if you can pick the correct one here.

Tell you what. Get your favorite liter or magnum of wine or whiskey or beverage of your choice cut a slot in the top and glue it on the bottle. It's up to you whether you want to empty it or not. Every penny you get toss it in there. If you so desire you can toss some of the silver and crunchy stuff in there as well. When filled give it to new expectant mothers as babies first bank.

Or if you can get your hands on one of those five gallon water cooler bottles start filling that up.

I picked the correct Penny, almost 45 years ago. She is still the right one! The other penny cost one and a hlf times its value to mint and is good for not one dog gone thing and should be eliminated. JMHO. :) Dennis

That's the problem the Treasury is encountering....nobody likes having pennies in their pockets because you can't buy anything with a few pennies!
So....everybody throws them in a jar and effectively takes the pennies out of circulation.
The Treasury/Mint must make billions of pennies each year, at a higher cost than they are worth, just to replace all the ones that we throw in a jar.
I drag my jar of pennies down to the my local bank and dump them in one of those coin sorters and end up with enough money for a 6 pack.
That makes it worth my while to save them....

BTW: I looked over the choices for @ a minute and picked the correct one....well, I did sleep at a Holiday Inn last night!
