I was thinking the electrical outlet in the shower was worse, although all are against building code, some are against fire code, and some are illegal.

Jeeeeees --- an electrical outlet IN the shower stall? The toilet paper roll is pretty convenient though.
I can't believe that they cut through one of the floor joists to run the drain line. And the electrical box is a fireman's nightmare. Obviously, this job is being done without all of the permits and inspections required. Or maybe Maryland doesn't have any construction code.

Or maybe Maryland doesn't have any construction code. That used to be true down here in St Marys but they've started paying attention about 15 years ago. They went from no enforcement to driving around neighborhoods and taking pictures of new structures, porches, etc., without permits. The owners then received ridiculously large fines.
I got a permit for my barn and displayed it prominently. Good thing too...The building inspector's wife works next door.:D She did call to check up once she saw it going up. Good to go.

When I bought my house, the previous owner had no place to plug in the frig so he cut the cord, drilled a hole through the wall at the base board and used electrical tape to re-attach the remaining cord and plug in the next room and plugged it in to an old two blade outlet in the next room.
Needless to say, I gave it a good inspection and made those fixes a condition of sale. I've uncovered several more hidden treasures over the years but I've replaced almost every floor and wall in the house by now. Everything is up to code now but it's been expensive. Old house = New electrical system, plumbing, and sub-floors.

Problem being there still is no functioning T & P valve! That being said that right there is a ticking timebomb!
And who the hell stubs out a stack right through the ridge?
As a licensed plumber, and a long time home remodeler these pics. make me sick, knowing that there is hacks out there that would do something like this.

If your paying for this 'work' being done; your're more stupid then the person doing the work.
