My Way -- Frank Sinatra

And now, the end is near;
And so I face the final curtain.
My friend, I'll say it clear,
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain.

I've lived a life thats full.
I've traveled each and ev'ry highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, I've had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

I planned each charted course;
Each careful step along the byway,
But more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew.
But through it all, when there was doubt,
I ate it up and spit it out.
I faced it all and I stood tall;
And did it my way.

I've loved, I've laughed and cried.
I've had my fill; my share of losing.
And now, as tears subside,
I find it all so amusing.

To think I did all that;
And may I say - not in a shy way,
No, oh no not me,
I did it my way.

For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught.
To say the things he truly feels;
And not the words of one who kneels.
The record shows I took the blows -
And did it my way!

Been dead once... ain't doing it again.

That's a hard question..... don't want a sad thing.... want a Bourbon Bash or something similar.... So... Just play some Skynyrd....

Hmmmm.

Amazing Grace, on the Pipes of course.

"Wherever I may Roam" Metallica.

Probably whatever they have in the jukebox, however.

Just a couple thoughts:

"All say, `how hard it is that we have to die'-a strange complaint to come from the mouths of people who have had to live." - Mark Twain

"Death and the sun are not to be looked at steadily." François de La Rochefoucauld

"I'm not afraid to die. I just don't want to be there when it happens." Woody Allen

Even though I don't really care for a lot of his music...

"Dare to Be Stupid" by Weird Al Yankovic.

And I would love to have a funeral procession set to the tune of "Goodnight Ladies" by Lou Reed.

Harry Nilsson from his "Son of Schmilsson" album

'I'd Rather Be Dead"

I'd rather be dead--I'd rather be dead
I'd rather be dead than wet my bed
I'd rather be dead--I'd rather be dead
I said dead than wet my bed

Oh, I'd rather be gone--Than carry on
I'd rather go away--Than feel this way

Oh, I'd rather be there--Where you haven't got a care
And you're better off dead--Though it doesn't seem fair

Oh, I'd rather be dead--I'd rather be dead
I'd rather be dead than wet than wet my bed
I'd rather be dead--I'd rather be dead
I'd rather be dead than wet than wet my bed

(Laidies)
I'd rather keep my health--and dress myself
But you're better off dead than sitting on a shelf

(Men)
I'll tie my tie 'till the day I die
But if I have to be fed then I'd rather be dead

And when he takes my hand on the very last day
I will understand because it's better that way

Oh! It's nice to be alive--When the dream comes true
You'll be better off dead--It could happen to you

Oh! I'd rather be dead--I'd rather be dead
I'd rather be dead than wet my bed
I'd rather be dead--I'd rather be dead
I'd rather be dead than wet than wet my bed

In the words of comedian Nick Swardson... At my funeral the casket will be at the front, but I won't be in it! my body will come down from the ceiling on wires! A spotlight will shine on it, and then, techno music!

In all seriousness... this is a tough question! Notorious B.I.G.? Need to think of which song though

What, no Terry Jacks 'Seasons In The Sun' on the list? FAIL.

That song is orignally a French song from 1963 about committing Suicide at the peak of a carrier... hince why you see Nirvana playing it on their DVD box set.

Highway To Hell is about touring and going to New York City for the first time because apparently the city is "hell" to be in.

Get your songs straight guys. :coolman:
