Federal Stimulus Windfall

Just noticed that my Federal Tax Withholding was reduced by $10.00 on my bi-monthly paycheck. Wow, $5.00 per week ... what am I gonna do with that? :rolleyes:

The withholding may be down; but I am not so sure that my taxes were reduced at all. So, I am a little reluctant to spend ALL that cash right now.

Is this really supposed to stimulate the economy? Well maybe it is enough for an extra Double Mocha Latte at Starbucks, two extra gallons of Sunoco 93, or maybe a Big Mac Meal but not much else. What are we trying to stimulate here? Other views are appreciated.

Use it to stimulate the economy, buy something made in the U.S.ofA. That rules out Levi's, Carhart, and Craftsman work clothes for your job. Pretty much all shoes and boots, too. And electronics. And household appliances. Hmm. Buy a Louisville Slugger or a Zippo or a Maglite, those are still made here:beer:

Red Wings are still made here....I use those for work...the most comfortable boot I have ever worn by far....

So if we are paying less, getting more in our paychecks now does that mean we have to pay when we file next year cause they didnt take enough out???

In New York, sure the Feds gave us $10.10 per week, but the State is taxing us on various things that will equate to $12.20.

I stimulated the H3LL out of Louisville Slugger while we were there with 2 personalized bats, walnut bat display rack, 2 MLB baseballs with the Oriole's logo (:P Rich), 6 signature mini-bats (including Cal Ripken, Derek Jeter, Ted Williams, Lou DiMaggio and team logo) and a Louisville Slugger T-shirt. :D There goes my stimulus for the next 9 months.

I think with 5 extra bucks a week. I could stimulate my peepee with some KY!!!! That other wise I probably could not afford I guess Thats one posibility other than a BigMac meal.
