I was at the Impalla SS site (NASSIO) and boy they really talk about us. It seems like they don't respect us too much. I think some are bitter because there is a new sherrif in town. It's funny how they talk about how much faster there car is. Could it be because they have had ten years to make there car faster. They have an engine that dates back to B.C. I even saw that some have swapped their engines for Vette engines. Until I get my Trilogy I hope that everyone that has a supercharged MM, Trilogy, Rienhart or KB makes them give us some respect. As I told them we have nothing against them. I feel as long as it is turning the rear wheels and don't run on rice it is ok.

It's nice to be the focus of attention for so long. It's been well over a year now!

Hey I love the SS....there would probably be no MM without the SS.....but I think they just are bitter how much an improvement the MM is over the SS....

It would be improper to assume that all "SS" drivers show no respect. There should be mutual respect between both groups.
In our area (Chicagoland) we had race day together. I did not attend but the point is we had a get together. In addition there is another scheduled meet that the Marauder owners have been invited to. See following thread:

In reguards to the LT1 engine, sure its had its time for aftermarket parts. Its been in GM's past major performers: Corvette, Camaro, Firebird, Impala SS. So you can expect that. No dis-respect to you or anyone else on here, but if I was Ford/Mercury I would have created a vehicle that is almost ten years newer a bit faster than the SS (Stock vs Stock)
Our cars came with 3.08's and 3.55's for you, plus I beleive the Marauder has a higher stall. Our advantage is Torque. 330lBS@3200 RPM VS 318@4300 RPM. So your new sheriff in town does not hall the Ball$ around.
I think the Marauder is a pretty sweet car, would I trade my SS for one?, NO! But I do respect the car and the people that drive them. Bottom line, we all like RWD full size automobiles with a bit of kick (preferibly black in color).
One more thing, Stock we run 87 Octane vs the 91+ premium that the Marauder requires.

Well said Pauly...
I'm going to close this thread. Solely on the premise that other websites are run as their owners see fit. This site is and always will be SS friendly and SS owners are always a welcome bunch in my camp.
Both cars have their merit's... :)
