changed out my pulleys i didnt go steeda they are in route i just bought a set to keep me rolling because mine were shot. idler runs great but the tension pulley still makes noise. its quiet at idle, only makes noise when driving or giving it gas, could it be the actual tension arm going bad or is it a bigger problem  im lost.

White Lithium lubricant until you find out the problem. A new tensioner is only about 30 dollars though...

Depends on the sound...when my tensioner was bad it ws the worse sound ever! When my belt went bad it wasnt as bad...what does it sound like exactly and how loud is it?

its not bad at all. not even very loud, at idle its silent but when driving getting on it or regular driving it squeels before shifts and giving it a lil gas

Mine is making a little noise too...I'd describe it as a scratchy hyperactive baby rattle noise...lol
I sprayed it with a little WD-40 and it helped a little.

where shall it be applied on the tensioner for maxium effectiveness?
I got my noise after a couple engine degreasing/cleaning sessions, I'm sure I washed away the lube that was keeping it quiet before.

Ya know what I think I am going to order a new tensioner assembly from my dealer, this thing is boucin more than I would like to see. It couldnt be more than 25-50 bucks and its worth it not to be stranded.
