I loved the MM the first time I saw one. I really never seriously thought of actually buying a MM until I started hanging out here. Then when the rebates came out and I saw the Red '04, I knew I had to have it. Took only a couple of days to convince the Mrs and then another couple to convince myself.
Went to the showroom of the dealer I work at and bought the Red MM from the showroom floor! I take delivery next week. Price with "D" plan and rebates came out to $26,842.

Way to go!! my MM is also my first brand new car, glad I waited! Nothing else ever really tickled my fancy. The more I think about it, I hope FoMoCo completely stops advertising this car. It is so me, so unique, so cool.

carfixer, did you buy the red one at Germain l/m or Scanlon l/m? they both have red 04s on the showroom ! $26,842 is a great price ! besides the $2500 rebate, did you have $500 AARP and the $750 Military rebate?

I bought it at Scanlon. I am a tech there. That gave me "D" plan price of 30,842. 2004's have 3000 rebate, 500 dealer cash and 500 owner loyalty because I drive a Lincoln. I asked for the 500 AARP but was declined, I'm only 36:) If you come to Scanlon's, look me up. Ask for the tech that drives the beautiful red MM.

carfixer, congrats on your purchase. I work for Scanlon too - at the Acura store just down the street. there are 2 MMs in employee parking here. my 2003 black 300A and another employee with a 2003 blue 300B. wished you worked with us, it would be cool to see 3 MMs lined up - black, blue and red. all we need is a silver !

i never had my car back in for service yet, no real problems in the last year/10,000 miles except for the rear door quarter window bottom molding not flush - sitting out a tad. maybe a clip off or something. doesn't really bother me that much. you can tell my MM by no tail tips. i installed a full borla cat back system and a svo rear differential girdle.

will do !! heck, stop by any time. i love to see all 3 MMs together. at 1st - a lot of employees would make fun of me when i got the MM cause i'm young too - 34. they said i was bringing down the average age of the mercury owner. now after the tinted windows, rear spoiler and a few trips to lunch. i get "this car is cool" "you drive - i buy" Can't complain about that!

Thanks for the big welcome. I can't wait for the first big meet and of course, my first mods. I forgot to tell the Mrs about the mods before she agreed to letting me get the car. I guess I will have to wait a couple of days, err, I mean months ;). Please don't tell her.

I took delivery today of my MM. Started a little gallery of my own, check it out. Red MM (http://babineau.topcities.com/marauder.htm) . What a great day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't get this smile off my face.

Congratulations. Enjoy. I got mine 9/16/03. Sweetest car I've ever driven, let alone owned. Hope yours is as good to you as mine is to me.:up:
