My factory head unit has lost AM and FM tuning goes bad after the unit is powered on for about 15 minutes, so I'm looking to replace it with something like this (http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_16444_Kenwood+DPX503.html ).

I've searched and read past posts, with some saying I'd need a custom subwoofer or custom wiring harnesses and adapters... frankly, I couldn't make sense of all of it and wondered how much of the info I found was now obsolete.

So, what will I need to use this head unit, or one like it, in my Marauder while retaining as much functionality (steering wheel controls, factory subwoofer, etc.) as possible. Don't want video or navigation or custom subwoofers or any high-dollar stuff. just a simple head unit swap with adapter.

I refuse to believe it cannot be done.:beatnik:

You CAN use all the factory speakers including the sub. I did it until I replaced the entire system in mine.
