The content of your photos makes it difficult to tell the quality of the camera. Because the asphalt and the trees have a rather random texture to them, they do a good job of disguising any distortion (what does distorted asphalt look like?) Since the asphalt and trees take up so much of photos, and the MM reflects it so readily, there is little space on the photos where you can actually gauge any distortion.
The MM waterfall badge on the trunk, the fence and rooflines across the street and the MM wheels are about the only things that give a clear indication of the distortion - and from them it looks pretty distorted. Were these taken at the max resolution of the cell-cam?
Check the resolution settings, if there are any, and take some more pics of things with more regular, non-reflective surfaces, like faces or the instrument cluster or even the engine compartment. Then we'll see ;)

Download and install the newest software from crackberry.com

It will make the phone a 1000 times faster and better camera options among other things.
