Got a new stable mate for my Marauder. Absolutely love this car, having a five speed again and man does it handle. Has a lot of goodies standard. Hard to find as it is the 40th Anniversary of the 68 Steve McQueen movie.

Sounds real sweet under acceleration. Not going to do a thing to this car except keep it clean and polished:D.

Congrats! That is a sweet car....

For those born too late...

Bullitt is a 1968 American thriller film starring Steve McQueen. It was directed by Peter Yates and distributed by Warner Bros. The story was adapted for the screen by Alan Trustman and Harry Kleiner, based on the novel titled Mute Witness (1963) by Robert L. Fish (aka Robert L. Pike). Lalo Schifrin wrote the original music score, a mix of jazz, brass and percussion.
The movie won the Academy Award for Best Film Editing (Frank P. Keller) and was nominated for Best Sound. Writers Trustman and Kleiner won a 1969 Edgar Award from the Mystery Writers of America for Best Motion Picture Screenplay.
Bullitt is probably best-remembered for its car chase scene through the streets of San Francisco, regarded as one of the most influential car chase sequences in movie history.[1] The scene had Bullitt in a dark "Highland Green" 1968 Ford Mustang 390 CID Fastback, chasing two hit-men in a "Tuxedo Black" 1968 Dodge Charger R/T 440 Magnum.
In 2007, Bullitt was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".

It has a plain Jane look, kinda like Demi Moore on steroids on GI Jane. Gets major looks from the Mustang guys though. I am enjoying her for sure. If someone wants to race me I tell I have to go and get my 4 door car.

I ordered a bunch of Bullitt stuff on E-bay. Got a re-mastered DVD of the movie today. OF course I had to watch the chase scene again. Getting an orginial 1968 marque movie poster located in London, England of all places. Found and won the Revell model 1968 Mustang GT Bullitt movie car. And also found an 08 Mustang Bullitt model of my car. Cool stuff to go with the car and have in the garge..

Nah - ridden all of them. The Boulevard M109R has 1800cc, 127 HP and fits me rather goodly. Now I need financing - probably after my mortgage.

Very nice mustang! I think Ford really nailed it with this package. I don't like the rear spoiler & fog lights in the grille on the regular GT's. This car just looks mean! :2thumbs:

Well that is just my windshield banner. Has to be there, a rule.:D I short antenna also is onthe cards. Stock exhaust is staying on the car. Different than the GT's, I like it just the way it is. IF you want one of my banners let me know and I will send when up to you. You know what it says. Same as on the Mk LT.

She is quiet until you get on it, which I like. She does sound real sweet and nothing like a GT, which surprises me. On taking it to the Cape this year, probably not. I will take the MK LT truck and probably bring my bike with me in the trailer.

NJ can fail you if you don't brush your teeth that morning. And then charge you an additional fee for failure of clean teeth:lol:.

Is it new or used? Looks nice. I had a buddy who lived in FLA that owned one of those, he loved it. Unfortunately he got killed in a small plane crash last fall, I wonder if thats his old car? I know, a big state.
