About six monthes ago inspired by o'sfansrich I relocated the air pump for the suspension to the trunk. I mounted it in the location of the stock cd changer. Since I have an aftermarket headunit that doesnt work with the changer I figured why not. I cut off the connector attached to the pump and basically extended the wireharness. Ran it through the hood realease gromet, under the sill plates and into the trunk. A word of warning seal the wires going through the gromet very good. I did not and had water leaking into the cabin, had to go back and reseal the wires.

Good location!
When I moved mine, I still had the CD player there. Thus, my pump is elsewhere.

The pump doesnt sit in the pool of water that it does under the hood of the car. Besides that I just moved it to keep busy:D

I did mine to allow for the air ducts from my front bumper to feed into my air box.

Do you hear the pump more now that it's in the trunk as compared to under the hood?

I just drilled weep holes in the box it sits in under the hood. No water pools there, anymore.

As did I but relocating it to the rear opens up space to do a true cold air or type of ram air induction system. ImpalaSlayer and I have been talking about it for a little while now. Once it stays dry around here and no more rain I'm going to be doing some fiberglassing templating and make a head shield box for my air filter.

I wouldnt mind seeing some more details about how you guys fabed up the mounting brackets and where exactly you placed it in the trunk. I have the OEM CD changer and don't want to get rid of it, where did you put th compressor?
