Installed the Beta version a couple weeks ago and must say I really like it!

Looks like Microsoft did it right this time and listened to test user feedback and tweaked as they went along.

W7 Release Candidate is already out, and hear it may go retail in as little as 3 months.

Requires less disk space than Vista, and uses less RAM as well.

The install start to finsih only took 19 minutes on a Core2 Quad @ 2.4 GHz with 3GB RAM.

After install, W7 found all drivers for the machine including my ATI Radeon 2400 PCIe graphics card.

Installed Avast Free Home Edition AV, and runs perfectly.

I now can boot to all 3 flavors of Windows on this box:

Xp Pro, Vista Home Premium and Windows 7 Ultimate.

Triple boot system. Gotta love it.

It's running well on my gaming rig as well. The only thing it didn't get right was the drivers it has for the nVidia 680i chipset only drive the onboard NICs at 100 Mbit instead of gigabit. But that's just a driver issue, I'm sure. The OS itself has impressed me. And that's saying a lot coming from a Unix/Linux guy.
