WEST CHICAGO, Illinois, May 11, 2009 – Please join us for a static display featuring the USMC’s helicopters at DuPage
Airport on Saturday, May 16, 2009 from 10:00am to 2:00pm. The static display will include the MV-22 Osprey, CH-46 Sea
Knight, CH-53 Super Stallion and AH-1W Super Cobra. This event is free and open to the public.
Starting on May 11th, the United States Marine Corps will base helicopters at DuPage Airport to support their Marine Week
celebration in Chicagoland. The Marine Week celebration was established to honor and recognize local Marines, their families
and the cities they are from. Throughout the week, Marines will volunteer at local kitchens as well as visit schools and community
parks to share their experiences with the community. In Chicagoland there will be appearances from the Marine Corps
Band, Silent Drill Team and the Marine Boxing Team. Support equipment featuring new technology used to serve and protect
our county will also be on exhibit at various locations in the Chicagoland area.
