Fellow MM owners. At 145,000 miles it appears my O/D is slipping.
Should I just replace it with the stock tranny? I want to keep the car on the road. The engine is running well and is only using about 1 QT.of oil ever 3-4 thousand miles. When the engine goes I'll want to put more horses under the hood..................Thinman

Welcome. I am very familur with your area there in Bel Air Md. DO NOT HAVE YOUR TRANSMISSION REPAIRED BY JOPPA TRANSMISSION.

At about 45 mph @1500 RPM it acts as it it is shifting 2 or 3 times if I'm on a uphill grade.
If you were close to me i could have it done for $250 plus parts.
What happens when you let off the gas in OD? Does it feel like it downshifts ok?

Tranny seems to be up and down shifting fine. It just does that slipping thing in O/D at low RPM and low speed on an uphill grade. Fluid is clean

I would look into a transmission built by Darrin and/or Lonnie. I have a street/strip built tranny and 10.5" TC and love the upgrade.

If you are planning to putting a higher HP motor in after it goes, then I'd suggesst getting the Tranny built up now. If not, you'll be into it again shortly after more HP is added to the engine.
