I am on 1500mg Keflex and it's taking forever to start working.

I was told I had strep throat once at the emergency room... went to my doctor when I got weak and felt like I was dying... found out I had mono and my tonsils were swelling to the point where I could barely breath... they put me on steroids to reduce the swelling... I lost 25 pounds because of the mono, but once I got put on the steroids I gained that right back and QUICK! haha Was out of work for a month!... Watch out for the DG's (Dirty Girls)

I had it once when I was younger...I was in PAIN...I had to drive to Waldorf to the nearest doctor...I passed 2 hospital on the way...young and dumb but I dont like hospitals! Few meds and I was fine in a couple of days. Hope you feel better adam.

Friday morning at 2am for Carlisle, that's the plan.

Though I ain't stupid. If I'm not feeling way better by then, I'm not going to risk making my own situation worse or infecting others just so I can hang with car people. It ain't worth it.

No, as much as I want a beer right now, I don't think it would be conducive to feeling better.

Plus, if I go to Carlisle, I was planning on having several adult beverages while I'm out there, so if I wait until then, they will taste extra good because I will have waited a long time for them!

Can't just stop at the local convenience store or gas station like in OH. There is one downtown, but off the route to the show.

Strep is only contagious within the first 24hrs of being given the meds.... You wont infect others, but feeling like crap, well thats inevitable.

Look for white dots on the back of your throat. A sure way of telling if its coming or if you have it.
