John Kuhn/POPS, knowing that I was an FE Big Block fan, asked me if I had seen the black Fords down in the display building with the ridiculous Big Blocks.
I said: "No...where are they?"
He promptly escorted me down to them and we drooled over 3 of the baddest, most tastefully Resto-modded Ford sedans we've ever seen.
(Actually, as you will see, one of them was NOT a restomod...but an original 'R' code Ford 300!)
Note: Custom Jet-Hot headers on all models except for the original 'R' code, which has the correct factory cast iron headers.
#1: 1955 Ford Fairlane with a Shelby all aluminum 494 cid Big block.
......2x4 bbl carbs on a 'tunnel wedge' manifold, C6 automatic.

How did those narrow tires not go up in flames?
OH! I'M SURE THAT THEY DID!!!
These cars would NOT be good drag racers without some serious, sticky tires out back.
Even the '66 Fairlane, which had decent rear tires, would annihilate them with a BOSS 557....:bows:
He had what was correct size OEM tires on two of the vehicles.
BTW: One guy was offering all 3 for sale.
I'd give my left nut (since I'm snipped I don't really need it anyway) for that '66. I've always wanted that body style Fairlane, in triple black. Actually, I've always wanted a '66 SS Chevelle in triple black, too. There goes my other nut.:(

You know what "FE" stands for, right? The first word I can't say, here; the second is "ENORMOUS". Good job, Joe, I saw 'em too.
Wait till I show you what I got out of my meeting Jerry Heasley and Donald Farr. :D
