She and my Dad bought this place in 1986 brand new. They had a 5 bedroom home in San Jose at that time. After Dad died, Mom bought a 2 bedroom California bungalow in Sacramento near one of my sisters. It's on a beautiful street in the section known as The Fabulous Forties. (Because of the number of huge gorgeous old custom homes) She has a beautiful backyard with every fruit tree imaginable and a great patio and artist's studio. Really adorable!
Daaaang. Hey pick me up some seaglass if you stroll the beach:)

I know what you're talking about.Traveled that same route in June'06 and stayed in San Luis OBISPO. The Hearst Castle is a must see. Definitely one beautiful place. I know you hate to leave.

Paula, that is a beautiful area!
Enjoy your vacation.
Although we did not make it that far south on the coast, Marianne and I spent time in Half Moon Bay, Carmel and Monterey during our honeymoon.
Marianne told me we had to buy a home in Carmel some day.
