1996 Mercury Sable Power Antenna

Couple of questions:
1. Antenna is stuck fully extended. Motor sounds like its working correctly so just the mast would probably have to be replaced. Do you remove the mast by turning the notched nut on the outside of the fender above the mast washer?
2. How do you access the antenna motor? From inside the trunk or from the rear wheel well? How difficult is it to R&R the motor?

Also, the cigarette lighter fell apart (the car's getting old!); the base came out with the wire attached. How does one reinstall the lighter base?
