It does look really cool but why does the front wheel look angled out in both pictures?

Like doing a split.
To get it the extra couple inches on the ground.

I'm assuming you're talking about the negative camber? It's just from the movement of the suspension.

If I were independantly wealthy - I would travel the United States and park it in tow-away zones in pancake mode.

Because you can. It's for the 'SICK' factor.
Everyone has a hobby or an extreme they practice as therapy against this whacked out world. This is his.
It takes a friggin ridiculous amount of work to make this happen and keep the car drivable. Well engineered (yes, I said engineered) cars like this maintain a good ride (I'm assuming air).
Thanks for sharing!
I HAVE done the homework to see what it takes to slam my Marauder. Better not let me come across a spare 3 G's!

Bros, use your head!
The wire is only near the tire when slammed.
Can't RIDE slammed, just park!
There would be no bumps at 40 in that position - the frame is ON THE GROUND!
The air suspension raises the car to I'm sure a slightly lower than stock ride height.
When it does, the camber corrects itself.
The car would be ALIGNED at a certain height and pressure for driving.
The negative camber is caused by the geometry of the unequal (top shorter) length A-Arms.
There's more work in that suspension than in ANY supercharger install!

I like it!! hahaha Someday I will own a car with air ride or hydros... I want an 89 town car again and bag it!

To clarify, it's not my car. I do own a bagged vehicle that does lay flat on the ground.
thanks for clarifying rich. As he mentioned, the air bags work the same way your rear air suspension does.
The amount of work is rediculous, because if you look under your car, look at everything in the way of the frame being flat on the ground. The guy built an entire new engine cradle, new control arms, raised the motor, and redesigned the rear suspension.
I also have some pics of a p71 the same way, but with a jag IRS

Still don't get it; but do understand the SICK part. ;) Don't understand the 20", 22", 24" + wheels either. Just looking for someone to educate me on the reason for this. Maybe with a "purpose" that I don't see for myself, I may be able to better appreciate the look. Maybe .... Maybe Not.
Maybe this is the current equivalent of moon hubcaps, purple dot taillights, lake pipes and fenders skirts from the 1950's???

BINGO!!!!!!
We are a car culture. It's a culture of self expression! Not only is it art and engineering, but also it's a vice - a healthy vice to spend ones time and extra dollars on. It's an addiction - a drug.
Mad respect to ANY car lover who's canvas rides on 4 wheels!
Embrace the ART! Admire the WORK! We're all brothers from a 4-wheeled mother!
I get just as impressed by say Claude's twin screw install on Hotrauder's car as he is with my stereo install in Hotrauder's car. Different interests, different skills - mad respect. As we worked on our separate projects, we both enjoyed the company of our FRIEND, Dennis. Dig?

That's pretty sweet work even though I have never been on the big wheels and slammed to the ground, I'd prefer a hydro setup with smaller wires.
The newest towncar bodystyle has grown on me for these type of things,

Now that I hate.^^^^^Those tires kill it for me.
+1 one on the gasser look. I didn't care for them back when they were running in the good old days, but now they rehash alot of memories and i've grown to love them, red tint and all.
How about rat rods? When the term became popular awile back I hated them, now I understand the concept, when done right, and that is too build a unique powerful roadster or equivelant and build the fastest, meanest thing on the road with your limited finances and knowledge of fabbing. Now I get it and respect it and will also quite possibly build one myself down the road.

If you had 4 casters on the frame it could make parallel parking really easy!
There's more work in that suspension than in ANY supercharger install!
Yeah but the supercharger raises the value. To me, the more you lower a normal car, the more you lower it's value. But, that's just my useless opinion.

Those rims might not look too bad on a Marauder! Got the 5 spoke and probably chop nicely like our rims do when the sun hits them!
