Typically cost in the $100's of thousands or millions of dollars.

but if you shop around you can get one for a lot less.

Having flown a R22 before, fun to do but hard to hover. It isn't beyond me that i could buy one and get my license.

I just didn't think I could buy one for less than a $100,000.

R-22s are ridiculously simple. I worked on one for the practical application section of my FAA A&P mechanic certifications. As popular as they are, finding one on the cheap was bound to happen eventually.

You've touched on my favorite subject. I WILL have a license someday, probably take school in Canada (cheapest i've found).

Nice story, I've taken two flights now, I believe both were on hiller models, very very tiny, loud, shaky, one had no doors, the other piloted by a teenager:eek: Both times I had a blast, best half hour ever spent! I'll never forget when that kid lined us up with his helipad (in the middle of the Wisconsin dells) at 2000 feet and dropped that bird right out of the sky ALL the way down to the last 100 feet or so!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think my pants got a little wet!! (Front and back!!!!!)

He better not, if he gets too close to me I will have to shoot him down.
