Last time I had gone to the testing center they just put the car on a dyno and hook up a computer to it. Nothing seems to touch the exhaust tube. If that is the case is there anything I can do with the computer to make it pass? The test isn't until Sept. Didn't CRUZTAKER have something like this?

Let me know asap.

Thanks everyone.

Any car newer then 1996 because it has OBDII just gets plugged in, anything older gets run on the dyno. As long as you dont have a check engine light on and none of your emission functions are turned off in your tune, there should be no reason to worry.
That how it is here in NY and we had emission testing for years.

Same here in N.C. As long as there are no check engine codes you'll pass.

A lot of the performance tuners turn off the rear O2 sensors in the tune. Testing centers in some states will check for that, others won't.

I have taken 2 personal cars & many of my company vans to get tested in the last few years & all they do is plug-in to the OBDII port to check for codes & test the gas cap.

Dom,

I've taken the ProCharged MM for testing and have NEVER had an issue. I wouldn't worry about anything

Dom, go to tinley park. While you're there maybe you'll see those triangular UFOs, too...

I had mine tested this year and it passed. They only plugged into the OBDII port, no dyno or visual. Kinda funny cause while the car was running all you could hear was blower whine. Just make sure your tune has been in the car for a week or so and no DTC's.

Beware of pending or stored codes though. Your light could be off and still not pass because of these. I have an awesome handheld that would let you know if any are pending codes. Are you coming to Wisconsin sunday? I'll bring it.

... and none of your emission functions are turned off in your tune,...

That's a big "if". My tune has them all turned off. Every cycle I have to reload the stock tune from the SCT III & trive enough cycles with a bad tune to reset the sensors. Then, the max I can get is 5 out of 6. The state lets me fail only one.

Yesterday I took the car in for testing and it passed.

Even with the Procharger, Kooks headers and high flow cats... all they wanted was a computer reading.

The guy who did the test did smile though, he knew what was up. :D

Thanks for another thread on advice for me.
