who here remembers the movie "The Wraith"? I was wonding if anyone knows what has happened to the the "Wraiths" car. if memory serves me right. i though it was a Dodge prototype show car. do they still have it? is it gone? it is such an amazing looking car especially from the 80's. anyone know? just curious since theres all the movie cars that have come out of the wood work the last 10 years or so.

It's in Kansas somewhere, ?I don't remember where, movie was made by Chrysler to prop up the sales, some big name actors in it, I made a post in a movie thread here about it.

I bought that movie and then lent it out and never got it back....it has Charlie Sheen in it as the Wraith.

That movie was filmed in Tucson, AZ. Some of it was filmed out on the roads in the desert to the west of Tucson and the rest was filmed on Mt. Lemon Highway to the north and east. Mt Lemon Highway was a place where people would street race up the mountain and back down. Near the bottom (or the start) there was a horseshoe turn and there were a lot of cars down in the ravine; i.e., from the 1940s on up. They finally cleaned it out after expensive homes starting being built in the area.

Chrysler spent $1.5 MILLION dollars building that car?! In 1983....

...and people wonder why they're in financial ruin?

what a great movie. does anyone remember a movie call "The Car". Just bought that a couple of weeks ago. What another great classic car movie too! That Wraith web site is cool too.

If my memory serves my correctly, the car actually turned into a ball of light and went back up into space after it raced down a desert road @ 88mph.

That movie is a classic, the car was an amazing creation for the time.:cool:
