ZR-1, awesome.

Motortrend, SUCKS ASS.

Top Gear is by far the best Car Show EVER!!!! Followed by Fifth Gear. After that, nothing compares.

The ZR-1 Corvette was at the 1/2 mile marker as the FA-18 Hornet passed the 1 mile marker at more than 300 MPH and went vertical. The jet was out of sight when the Covette crossed the line at 1 mile. "But the Corvette did beat him on gas mileage". :D

I thought that the car guy did a really good job of handling the g's and the aerobatics. Mach 1 followed by a minimum radius turn in the Hornet was 7.5 g's. The pilot was still talking normal .... not a problem. Man, I'd love to try that.

Pilots typically wear "g" suits that automatically tighten/squeeze during maneuvers to keep the blood up in the upper part of the body. Don't think that the car guy had on that same kind of suit and was forced to control the blood flow using the Old-Fashioned "hip" Method. 7.5 g's is pretty severe. I think that the human limit for blackout is about 9 g's.

Neat video. Thank you for posting it.
Today Joan and I took the Blue MM to the Gaithersburg Corvettes All Car Truck Bike Cruise-In at Criswell Chevrolet in Gaithersburg, MD. Got to see a bunch of ZO6s and ZR1s up close & personal. Always get good comments about the BLUE MM -- most people have never even seen one.

If you all ever get a chance to run your car (MM or otherwise) on an airstrip, DON'T pass up the chance!!! Nothing better than being able to open it up COMPLETELY!!!! Drag Strips are nice, but TOO short!!! Need to watch the markers to know when let up on the throttle on the airstrip!

Marauders are nice, real nice!!! -- I own 2. But ... I won't trade my 2000 Nassau Blue Vette (think ZR1 Blue Devil color -- Jet Stream Blue) which is basically stock for anything less than a NEW Vette.

We need to find a air strip around CAM land to have some fun on.

Too bad VFA-82 Marauders (Navy FA-18 Squadron) decommissioned or we would have had a shot.

I was gonna say, if a Veyron can't beat a jet, a ZR1 won't even come close.
