This update ships on SD Card and is "write once" software. It is a 2009
mapping AND firmware update.

I believe that these are the WORM (Write Once, Read Many) cards that SanDisk released last year this time. The data on the cards is secure, i.e. you don't forget and put it in your computer and delete everything.

Think of the Write Once as a CD-R and a regular SD card as a CD-RW.
