So on saturday I get a call from a buddy telling me that him and another buddy of mine are about to get beat up in a bar. typical stuff for el paso or for that matter just about anywhere. so me and my friend ben hop in the mm and were off to go help.

Interstate 10 around 11pm and im absolutely flying. running at least 120. i slowed down to switch lanes and hit the exit ramp. and back up to high speed again. i get caught up in some slow moving traffic. so i gotta drop it down again switch lanes to the far left and right before i go to gas it again. i see em. CV red and blues blazing in my rearview. im like "oh crap im screwed". pull over the officer gives usual name and department. License and reg and insurance. walks off. ben is like "dude were screwed." Im like "yep."

He comes back and he says "you know what son? its a good thing you slowed down cause i wouldnt have caught you." "i only clocked you at 85 but i am sure you were doing way faster before i got the radar up." He was cool though told why i speeding and he only gave me a ticket for an unsafe lane change. and then escorted me to the bar and arrested the dudes beating up my buddy. still laughing at the fact he said he wouldnt have caught me.

moral of the story if your wrong have a damn good reason for being wrong. and if your wrong makes sure all your paperwork is up to date and they might be a little more willing to listen. this might not apply to all officers but i do believe LEO's are good people.

thanks for reading.

I don't know about the funniest, but the last time was pretty funny:
Me - "It's not what it looks like."
Virginia State Trooper - "Really?, (leans back, looks at his car behind mine, looks at me again) because I can't think of much else it DOES look like."

Why did he call you instead of the local police?
Why did you respond directly before calling the local police?

I arrested a 16 yr old girl out smoking weed in her car with a bunch of other kids at 3am right outside of her house. Mom ended up coming outside and could not understand what the big deal was. I said no big deal its just a little weed. She still laid the attitude on. She says "I don't know why you are hasseling them, I'm her mother and I said its okay." I said "Well, I'm a Police Ofiicer, and me and IL law trump you." Took the weed, hooked the kids and notified parents and towed the car. THen I told mom if she wasn't such a pain in the ass I would have left them alone and just took the weed.

Parents are retarded now-a-days... I can't believe a parent approving of their child smoking weed... that disgust me! I have never once tried the stuff... Am I missing out? haha:shake:

Driver: You're just stopping me because you have a quota.
cop: I don't have a quota, but 3 more tickets and my wife gets a toaster, you're up to 2.

I was there for that one

Don't forget you got a family and alot to loose. If these were real friends they wouldn't have called you to get involved. Your kids need their dad and the same for your wife.

I believe I would have been looking at Mommy for Endangering The Welfare Of A Child. Let her explain to the Court her stance on allowing a child to smoke illegal substances.
