I had this magazine for a few weeks, but just got to reading it over the weekend. Here is a link to an interesting article about chip programming on cars.

linky linky (http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,4149,1276082,00.asp)

Not that we didn' already know most of this, but I found it interesting to find this article in the PC Magazine.

I think Dennis (DR) had mentioned something like this a short while ago. I wouldn't be surprised, to see tuning software available to the consumer. All you need is a laptop and a communications cable.

I know there is the Supertuner, but why buy a software package bundled into hardware. All you would really need is the software.

Wouldn't this allow you more flexibility and possible less investment, if you already have a Laptop for home or business use?!

Just my $.02

It will be available from "Superchips Custom Tuning"
Their "racer's package" will be about $800.
If you have a lot of modifications, it is the way to go. If you only have a few the Superchips MAX microtuner is fine.
