I need to know who to foward a compaint to for The City Of Chicago Department of Revenue. They are all crooks and theives. I haven't gotten this many parking tickets within a 3 month period than I have in the past 3 years.

I have gotten 3 tickets just this summer for parking in my own driveway.

I know it'll fall on death ears, but I'm going to yell loud enough to wake the dead. :mad2:

Please let me know and if possible who is calling the shots.

Thanks!

I know we are one of those strange states but I don't get tickets for parking in my driveway or do other people. I'm glad to live in a strange state. I'd have to move or cut something if that happened to me.Thats just too much.

Is it for a disabled vehicle?
Many municipalities have rules about that.
Helps keep F-Bodies from growing cinder blocks under them in the front yard.

In Chicago it's illegal to park your car across the sidewalk, Even if it is part of your driveway. It's one of those judgement calls they make...I think Dom's car is a bit notorious there (well earned no doubt :D)

Can't you clean out whatever is lurking there in the garage and park your ride there?

Well I wasn't going to go into details because I know a lot of you don't like me ranting all the time, but here it is. My driveway is very short and if my car is too far foward it is blocking the sidewalk and if it's too far back the tailend is in the street. On normal days it's alright, but I have been written up twice for street cleaning this year (First year ever in five years) and once for blocking a garage that I rented out to someone.

If I parked there for street cleaning it was fine because only about one foot of the car would be in the street and I would never get written up for it. Now it's happened twice in two months when it's never happened before. If I park there the same police officer thinks I am blocking the garage so the guy can't get out. (He tried getting in one day and had to contact me to move my car and a cop saw it and wrote me up, he himself even said not to and there wasn't a problem, but she did it anyway)

This isn't what I could call serving and protecting. Whoever calls the shots, I hope they get laid off or face legal action or both. I usually look up to the police, but this is going too far. They have turned into criminals in my area, but like I said it's probably not them, it's the captin or someone else to blame who told them to write up as many tickets as possible, even if no law was broken.

BTW I am not moving.

I don't get it either Dom, Just mail it in with a letter from the home owner stating you had permission to park there. (never mind it's the same person)

Hmm, I'm thinking it might me good to have the garage for yourself now? Dare I suggest you pull onto the lawn? Can't ticket you for that can they?

I think it's been answered already.

But yeah, my response to this whole thread was "Chicago sucks, and this just furthers my point on that."
