I love my new MM but the windshield wipers look like they are a little .........eh.......lame. Is it worth replacing them ?
If so what are suggested brands ?
Thanks guys

Dude, you are right! lame is a nice term! :) I think they truely SUCK! I got some Bosche wipers  no more streaks! and the cost was around 25 bucks for the pair.

I thought the originals looked cool, almost like they were an afterthought. Coolness went away in first rainstrom, they cleaned as wimpy as they looked. I think I also put on Bosch, got 'em at local parts store. I can see in the rain now.
The 2004's have good wipers from the factory.

I've tried a replacement set from the dealer and another from Canadian Tire with no improvement. Time to get serious and see if they have Bosch or equivalent here.

Zack - my factory 2004 blades sucked. You can have them.
I went with Bosch, but then found PIAA. The PIAA blades seem very impresive and the look of the blade is a little sportier. I don't know how well they work though.

The originals are slim but the blades disintegrate. I pulled them and threw them away. I bought new wipers from Napa (have to support my wife's company!!) and they are great. Installed in less than 5 minutes.

You threw them away??
I got some Bosch Micro Edge Excel blades, and they work about 1000 times better than those worthless factory blades. A good coating of Rain-X helps a lot, too.

I haven't had a problem with the factory blades on my 300B. I did notice that they are different than the 300A. Changing the blades is an easy fix no big deal.

Does the MM use a female-receiver wiper blade and sidepin wiper arm? If so, then you could use the 9C1 (cop) wiper off the caprice. They have a wing that holds them down no matter how fast you drive. I've personally tested them to 120 with no lift. My stock wipers would be useless at that speed.

They will set you back about $50 but are well worth it. Use Lexor "B" refills, available at walmart.
You can get them cheaper here:

Sure did. It appeared that the wiper blade was a single assembly and the rubber part had started to peel away on both blades. Junk, IMHO.

some of us have to drive in the rain :D
my 300a wipers make tons of noise when moving over anything but a drenched windshield but they clean ok. the 300b wipers look more like real wipers but thats all i know about them.

Yeah, I got caught in the rain between Shreveport, LA and Arlington, TX on the 2003 Hot Rod Power Tour. The wipers were worthless.:P
1. My MM is my daily driver so it gets driven rain or not.
2. Vader, tell me you don't really drive 120 in the rain!:nono:

New Kumho 712s, light rain, perfectly straight grooved cement interstate 3 lanes wide without another car for a mile in either direction. Why not?
Didn't really need the wipers with the AquaPel (Like Rain-X, but last 6-12 months...) but they did work with no lifting.
Blade is 22"
