Have any of you had problems with the back window shattering? Left ny pride and joy in the garage last night, only to find her with a shattered window this morning. My servive manager said Ford was haveing problems like this with the Super duty F-350's. But din't know of any with the Vics, Mercurys. Any help?

That's a first. Never heard of that happening before...

I've heard of it happening on a super hot day, with all the windows up, in an enclosed garage. I'm guessing it's not 100 degrees in E.A. right now. Could be a chip that spread and if the window was installed too tight....

Hey Can,

I heard on early Chev Luminas they could shatter or pop out on the highway, but never hard of it on a Panther vehicle.

the darker the tint the hotter the glass and the better chance of shattering. most tint companies do have warnings on their boxes stating the warning of shattering on darker than 35%.

CanMar - Hope you have full glass coverage. The rear window is expensive.
