The MG SV has more Horsepower?? Same Engine

So I was watching Top Gear the other night and watch the program where they slap the heck out of the New at the time (2003) MGB SV. Which has the Mustang cobra 4.6L.

320BHP? on an N/A car..What gives?

Lighter cars can run more timing and make more power with no detonation.
Make no mistake it is the same engine.

Because we have much heaver cars they detune them.


Put the same 4.6L 4v in a go-cart frame and you could probably tune it for 330HP no problem.
