View Full Version : Fender Badges Redux?

Hello folks.

I have received numerous inquiries as to whether I would produce and offer fender badges once again.

I am starting this thread to gauge interest in the badges. Once I order them, they will beready for shipping in about 4 - 6 weeks.

They willl be sold on a first come, first served basis.

The badges look like this:

http://www.legalknevil.com/albums/Miscellaneous-Car-Stuff/FenderBadgeMO_MM.jpg

As in the past, the badges will not have adhesive on them and you are on you're own for that. I highly recommend using 3M auto body molding tape.

The badges will be 80 bucks a set (which includes shipping in the 51 US States).

If you are interested in purchasing one or more sets, please indicate your interest in this thread (also indicate how many sets you want). Please understand that this does not constitute an order, but I will be relying on this thread when I consider producing them.

I do not want to order and pay for badges that I don't need because I am broke and I need all of my money I have left to get into the 9's with my MM since no one has seemed to be able to do it during my absence! :P

Thanks for helping me make history with my run to the 9's and with an eye toward having my driver Jeff (Shankin) take home the big dog trophy!!! :banana2:

**** Oh yeah, despite rumors to the contrary, this is not a democracy. So these badges are not available for sale to Dom or anyone that intends to resell them to Dom or on e-bay. If I wanted them sold on e-bay, I would go ahead and list them myself for 150 plus bucks like they have sold for on e-bay in the past. :flamer: ****

Can someone enlighten me as to what the meaning of the racing flags is on a Marauder badge? I always see these badges and there must be some history to them that I don't "get"

There will be no changes made to the manner in which they are manufactured or the materials used to produce them.

Here's a variation on my '65 below.

Marty: (short hijack)I went out to see Derrick yesterday. I enjoyed meeting him and he also has one heck of a set-up. It was like Toys R Us for adults.
He is coming over to my house in the next few days to see the '65 MM. It'll be great to get the Ol Girl respectable again. Thanks for the intro.

Marty, how funny it is you start this thread today, I bought 2 sets from you months ago, finally TODAY put one set on the car, looks great. To anyone who doesn't have at least one set, they are very well worth the dough.

???? When did this happen? Last I heard, the District of Columbia (DC) was not a State yet .... and won't be until the DC Government can demonstrate the bare minimum level of competence. :o

These badges are excellent. Still have mine unused in the bubble wrap.

Yep - that's what mine look like!
The next set is getting a high quality, heavy duty clear coat before they go on the car. The originals will get refinished good as new for a spare.

I'm definitely in for 1 set ...and possibly a second if I end up buying the 64 Park Lane down the block (It will be the first Marauder with the breezeway power window unless someone buys it before I do)

No can do. The Canadian shipping requires more $$$ and a trip to the post office by me. Canadian sales are at 92 U.S. bucks.

Sorry 'bout that!

I'll pass.

First, the cost is more than a $2 stamp. The postage is about 8 bucks the last time I checked.

Second, there is the paperwork of sending items cross border, plus making a trip to the post office. I guess I view that my time and gas money is worth more than yours.

Please understand that I don't need to sell these badges. I sell them because people on the site (a place I view to be a "club") want them. Fear not, I wouldn't understand a kid with 18 posts to "get" that.

It's okay though - as the Soup Man would say, "NO BADGES FOR YOU!!"

I guess the US has it alot harder to mail things then Canada..

cause we just put an address on the envelope, put a stamp on it, and its off.. no paperwork!.

I just figured like you said, your trying to help a "club" out.. not screw them over by charging a ridiculous amount more then anyone else.

oh, and for future references.. its the "Soup Nazi"..

In fact, it is because an item is being shipped for sale accross border and must pass through customs. But hey, since you are so free with your time, why not run on down here and I will put you in charge of handling the badge production, sales and delivery.

I just figured like you said, your trying to help a "club" out.. not screw them over by charging a ridiculous amount more then anyone else.

Son, ask around and just see what I have done.

Also consider that I have to post my (significant) capital to make the badges and then use my (precious) time to do teh administrative part of order taking, packing, and shipping.

oh, and for future references.. its the "Soup Nazi"..

Where I come from the word "Nazi" is not used as a joke, so I don't use it that way.

In any event, your point has been made and you won't be getting badges even if you come to this side of the border.

It is looking like I have enough interest, so as soon as I am done doing a T shirt project that I am working on, I will jump on this -- probably in the next week or so.

T-Shirt project? If it's involving a beechin Marauder t-shirt, spill the beans. I can order that at the same time as I order the fender badges

I did those a few years back and sold out on them. Funny enough I just wore one of those T shirts this weekend.

The ones I am doing now are for my speed shop and another one for my wrecker/hauler company (fictitious companies created for my amusement).

The art will be finalized in the next day or two and I will post it up.
