I've not been here a long time, but each time I try to use the search function, I end up frustrated, and just forget about it, can anyone tell me how to best use this. This time it started that my dome light won't shut off, please don't tell me to use the search.

I did a search for "Dome light" and came up with many threads.

Any thread that has "Dome" or "light" within that thread will show up in the search results.

Keep in mind, there is 7 years of threads/posts on this site and could take time to find exactly what you are looking for.

Hopefully this helps?

Mike.

Hate to question the obvious, but did you make sure the dimmer switch wasn't set all the way to the right (ergo turning the dome light on)?

Oh yes thats the first thing I do after cleaning the interior. I set my dash lights very dim.

I sprayed the ****it out of the door latchs with WD-40, and wiggled all the child latches, now it turns off, thanks to all. Also I find the search function to be nearly impossible, page after page of anything from UFO's to fog lights.

I've had issues with Search myself. If I don't use just the right combination of words, I don't always meet success. If you are searching a forum or other site, you can also use Google to search just that site. I used 'let me google that for you' not in its sarcastic meaning, but to be instructive:

http://www.lmgtfy.com/?q=%22dome+light%22+site%3Amer curymarauder.net

http://www.lmgtfy.com/?q=%225.4L%22+site%3Amercuryma rauder.net

You can use quotes to get an exact hit, or omit the quotes to find pages with all of the search words in it:

Hope this helps!
