Okay, for those of you who don't know, I recently completed a Cobra Eaton install on an 03 Marauder. She's off to the Tuner on Friday to see how much of a difference the power adder made.

I have driven the car 4 or 5 times now and the only codes I currently can view with my Livewire tuner are EGR and readiness. The EGR makes sense because it's not there.

The ABS light came on yesterday though, and I'm not sure why. It is the first time it has come on in all the times I have driven it thus far. I installed a boost gauge and a new oil pressure gauge, full sweep, and new sender the night that it came on. Is there any chance I hit something, or is there anything in particular I should look for under the driverside footwell that would set off the ABS Light???

For those of you that are familiar with the Eaton swap, you'll also know that the alternator must be either relocated, or you have to notch the frame in order for it to fit. I chose the notched frame route and this required me to shift the ABS block that sits on the driverside frame rail over about 3" or so. I didn't disconnect it or anything, just moved it over, cut the bracket in half and remounted it with some spacers, new bolts, and an aluminum strut attached to the remaining rubber stud that no longer had a bracket to attache to.

Like I said before, I drove it several times without issue before this light came on.

Thoughts and suggestions are very much appreciated.

Thanks.

When you shifted the ABS control block over did you make sure it could get a good ground to the frame? There is a chance of a ground problem. Maybe you should pick up a ground strap and connect it via one of the bolt's and then drill a hole and use a self taping bolt after you clean the paint off from around the new bolt hole and then bolt the strap down.

I am just guessing here. Use a test light and connect it to a live wire or your positive battery side and then touch it to the ABS block and see if it light's up to confirm it is grounded.

That's a good call. If the block is supposed to be grounded through the frame, it almost certainly is not in its current state. It is mounted with plastic spacer on one side, the other with a straigth brace to the rubber isolated stud, and the large hole at the rear of the block bracket that was attached to the a-arm bolt is no longer being utilized.

Can anyone confirm that the block is for sure supposed to be grounded through the frame?? If it is, I'll be hooking up a ground strap this evening.
