$2500_300a

Hi guys, new here. I've poked around here and on the internet period and i cant find anything. I picked up a 300a for $2,500 in great shape. Only thing is, the previous owner was older and somehow has the engine knocking very, very lightly, but still its there. I dont want to invest TOOO much money into it building a mod motor or purchasing a trilogy and supporting mods because i just cant afford it. My pal just built a carburated ford 460 bb for $3,000 that makes about 500hp and 500ft tq. and he built it over the course of 4 months (what i can afford). I would like to know can i get this engine to fit using my existing platform and what do you think i would need to do/look out for in order for the transplant to be sucessful????????????? Oh and dash lights on wont bother me but can it be done and still have a functioning facto gauge cluster??
I would just purchase another used long block but 300hp does NOTHING for 4,000 plus pounds

Ok, then.....
Go for it.... no one that I know of has done such a thing. It'll make a great project.
How about some recent pictures of the $2500.00 Marauder?

A cooler project would be using the BB and keeping fuel injection on it. Definitely can be done, it would take some work but it would be worth it. Carb in this car would be shameful unless it would never see the street.

Anything is possible if you got the idea, skills and resource. If you have to ask if it can be done then you probably can't do it.
There have been people that done crazy mods to their vehicles. From jet engine powered, electric conversion, engine in front and rear of car, Chevy engine in Ford vehicle or Toyota 2JZ-GTE in an older Mustang, Ford engine and Chevy transmission or similiar. The list goes on and on...
I hope that answers your question.

Do you have a welder, grinder, and a Credit Card? If yes, then yes it can be done, sometimes cheaper than projected, usually not. I would love to see you do this regardless. BTW the guages would be last on my list of stuff to worry about.
