OK, I am no expert on reading dyno charts. Regardless of what the chart says is the "Max HP" (where the HP crosses the TQ) - isn't the Max HP just that - Max HP or about 485 HP at 3,800 rpm.

First thing I notice is that whoever printed out the graph didn't set the scales to be the same for HP and TQ. I hate that, it just confuses things.

Second, where the lines cross has nothinig to do with the max hp and tq, the max is simply the max.

Third, the line that peaks sooner and stays relatively flat is the torque curve. Its scale is on the right. The curve that resembles a ramp is the horsepower curve, its scale is on the left.

Fourth, I would like to see a flatter AFR curve, but at least that one goes the right direction and richens up a bit at higher rpm's. That's safer.

Thanks - I got it now.

I gotta tell you thats a horrible A/F line too.

Not a fan of that A/F line you have there.

Wrong way, it's rich. That does two things, it reduces the probability of detonation and it reduces the horsepower at those rpm's. Both are good for promoting safe operation.

There is safe operation and there is killing horsepower and blowing gas out your tail pipes, that A/F is the latter.

My A/F line go's in a straight line across the page.
I'm not saying yours is bad, but I've never seen one look like that.
It was the first thing I noticed.
You must be doing something right to pull those impressive times.

Nobody is saying those aren't good E.T.'s but with a better A/F he could pick up a few extra horses maybe getting him into the 11.70's.

His tuner has a personal policy, keep a stock bottom end below 450 rwhp. You can do that by richening it up and pulling timing.

Great googly moogly. What's with that AF chart? See the bottom of my chart? The lighter line following the dotted line is the way it should look.

Your top line is torque, the lower is hp. I think you got the two confused. Looks like 443hp, 456ftlbs. Nice numbers.

FYI, if the two lines do not cross in the vicinity of 5500 rpm, something is fishy with the settings. That one looks fine, just saying to always check your 5500 spot.

Actually if HP and TQ scales are setup the same the crossover should be at 5252 rpm.

hp = torque * RPM / 5252

Yep, just make sure they are close to that on the graph!

there are many ways to make the AFR line looks smooth on the cart. itf it were dont on a different dyno by a different tuner it may look alot different
