I bought this car when I was at the MO par Nats in Ohio about a month or so ago.

I wanted something my gf could drive when she was in town and this is the perfect car -- PS/PB/AC. Too bad she hates it!!!! :P

Anyway, I still need to put the Demon style rear spoiler on. I will also be replacing the interior carpet to freshen it up -- the carpet kist for these cars are relatively cheap and they go a long way towards improving the looks of the car. Other than that, this car is in great shape and has under 40,000 miles on the clock.

If you do not like the car, move on and don't post in my thread. The pollution of these threads is killing this car site.

**** Credit for most of these photos goes to Donny "The Man" Carlson, official guest star of MO SPEED!!!

I think it's cool. I had a 70 Duster in 76. What is in it for power?

Just a 318, but at least it is numbers matching.

I agree with the GF, it's a terrible car!! Look's just like the 70 Duster I had bought new in 1970 (minus the scoops). I'll take it off your hands to keep the GF happy. Also have some 340 engine parts if you decide to not take me up on my offer.;)

It is here waiting for you.

Due to federal restrictions (what else is new?????) they can not be shipped because they are made of a rare form of Unobtanium.

Now, if said T Bolt were to be parked in my shop driveway, I may be able to handle the installation myself (which is an exception to said federal regulations -- see Page 146, para. 2 clause iii).

Nice car though!

My apologoies, but we raced in Reynolds, GA until 10:00 p.m. Friday night, arrived in Columbus at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, raced/show cars all day Saturday and Sunday until we departed at 4:00 p.m.

I was surviving with Salvation Army showers -- I was not too presentable!!! :P

+1 on the color. A buddy of mine had one back in the mid-70's with a 318 that he swapped out for a 340. Great little car, always like the looks of the Dusters/Demons.

In '76, I bought a 1974 Duster, 198 cu. in. slant 6 with 3 on the floor. It was the base model, only had am radio, no carpet. I installede a nice red shag, which was cool back in those days. :beatnik:

I like everything about that car, color, engine, hood etc. One time we had a Dodge Aspen .I would like to know how much you had to pay for it. I understand if you don't want to post it.

I have always loved the style of that car and most cars in general of that era. Simple, simple, simple... like my mind!:D Very nice acquisition, Marty!

Please do not be offended, but I buy, sell and collect, so I keep that stuff pretty close to the vest.

By the way, I appreciate all the positive feedback. I did not think anyone would care much for this car.

I really love it. Driving it is so cool.

I love it especially the hood scoops, I'm very jealous actually. There is a Dart for sale locally with scoops like these:

I'd really love to buy it but alas bar results haven't come back yet :(

I can't think of any old American car I DON'T like. Even if its a Pacer with a licorice dispenser in the headliner.

Pictures don't really do it justice (No offense Donny... not the cameramans fault). That body/paint is right off the assembly line perfect. That green is so rich and deep.

Yea we all drool over the high horsepower cars, but ya gotta love the clean simple and original presentation of this Duster. Just a nice peice.:banana2:

Very nice car Marty - very rare today even with a 318. I drove a 340 years ago and they were very fast. I believe the car had 3-2s. Was the 340 with tripes only offered in the TransAm version?

I built a 67 318 (first year of the LA 318) with stock pistons, 1990's magnum truck heads, and a summit cam that ended up being around .470" gross lift factoring in the higher ratio of the magnum rocker arms. Probably added about 150 hp to the stock 318 2bbl just swapping on the modern heads and cam. It was in an earlier A body (66). That 318 can be built to run well, the stock heads and cam are the big hp problems.

Very nice, you can always put on 340 heads like my buddy did back in the day, that darn car was quick!

What a great looking car, I almost bought a 1970 Duster a few years ago. Had too much on my plate at the time. It's great yours has PB-PS- and AC.
Not a mutt in your collection.

340 heads on a 318 gives you about 7.5:1 compression, you do not want to do that. The magnum 90s heads have very good chambers and they will get you up in the mid 9s

Mike, this is a "Gold Duster" which was considered the premium model back then and came equipped accordingly.
