View Full Version : Thanks Pops
Just wanted to thank pops for his help in replacing my dead oem radio with the Pioneer fh-p800bt. Got the install kit, connector adapter and steering wheel control adapter. Everything was easy to install and works great. Now I just need to get some better speakers and a new sub/amp.

Looks great. How long did it take to swap out?

I have heard several times that the steering wheel control adapters don't really work that well. Hopefully the makers have fixed that problem by now, cause that is really my only major concern keeping me from upgrading my stock stereo.

Took about 2 hrs start to finish all connection soldered no butt connectors on my car or any car I work on

Some people have not been able to get them right and some have. It seems to take a lot of effort on them. Put a deck in with touch screen. Its as easy as the steering wheel controls. Some will take voice commands.

I have the steering wheel controls working fine with the Pioneer AVIC-F90BT that I bought from Pops last summer. There is a bit more delay than stock, but it doesn't take long to get used to it. The touchscreen is pretty nice, but I think the voice control that works with the iPod is the slickest part of the setup.

will the voice control work with other mp3 players?
It is only for the Apple I Pod.

Looks nice, just wondering how many CD's will it hold?
These hold one CD. You can add a 6 or 12 disc changer as an option. The new version of the the Nav. unit will be in any day now.
