First run 136.8 2nd run 139.993, DQ was 139.999, yea I got lucky.

It was a blast, next year I'll be doing the 150 club for sure. I was already at 123 mph at the 1/2.

You get 1 mile to hit 130-139.999. Sounds easy huh? Its like driving on ball bearings or snow. If you watch the vid you'll see how crazy the car gets. I only ran 6* of total timing and couldn't floor it till 5th gear. The 150 club is 2 miles. It'll be cake. If I can register to run 2 cars at once I'm going to take the Marauder next year for the 130 club. I think it'll do it. there was a mostly stock caprice LT1 running 128 over and over. I'm pretty sure I can smoke him with the MM.

1 outside run (only to 120mph for the test run) and 2 in-car runs. I actually had to turn the the timing all the way down to only 6* to keep the power down to around 475ish. The full 570 was WAAAAAAAAAAAAY to much.

Way to go!

I was out in SLC a few years back and took a trip over to Wendover one weekend. Stopped by the Salt Flats and ran out a mile or so in the rental car, turned around and came back just to say I'd been out there. Would love to go back out there for Speed Week.

Wow, looks like fun, have you done this before, or was it your first time? I heard it hurts your legs to walk on it, like loose sand.

Yup first time.

Traction was like light snow or driving on ball bearings. LOL.

Its just funny because it looks so much like snow it kinda messes with your head, you think you'll slip and fall. Its actually grippy but since it rained 2 days before the event it was a little wet which made it VERY slick. The event was actually delay'd a day. Feet were fine. The first day the clocks were broke and we were stuck at the starting line for 9 damn hours. It was hell. The next day everything was fine.

Looks like you had your hand full. Do a lot of cars wipe out?

It was in my stang.

80% of the cars there were about 250-300rwhp, so they wouldn't be as crazy or they were AWD cars. My friends GTO and myself were by far the highest HP RWD cars. Didn't see any spinouts other than the ones we all did on purpose goofing off. :)

That sure looks like fun! Love the exhaust, what exactly are you using?

Exhaust? 1 3/4 long tube headers, Dr Gas Off-road X-pipe, Dynomax Ultraflo Welded Straight through muffs, and flowmaster tail pipes. It used to be horribly loud with flowmaster 2 chambers on it. I got rid of them along time ago.

I had to run the flowmaster tail pipes because they're the only ones that would clear the Panhard Bar.

Excellent, I really want to get my Marauder out there.
What safety equipment was required for 130mph?
