Here is the new toy.

2004 Electric Blue Dodge Neon SRT-4. 2.4L Turbo 5sp. 34k on the clock.

I test drove one several years ago and absolutely fell in love.

I sold the Vic a couple weeks ago and as some of you may have read I was looking for a daily driver that was #1 fun to drive, got decent gas mileage, and didn't absoutely kill me in insurance.

I had been looking at subaru's and other turbo cars, but for the amount of money I could afford to spend, it was just not anywhere near what I was looking for.

I finally ended up with this beauty. I made the 450mi trip to Minneapolis, MN on saturday to pick it up. Thanks again Brandon! When I first got it, it was absolutely trashed. The wheels were pitted and stained, interior was filthy, had a NASTY carbon fiber hood on it that looked like it had been through 10 sand storms. I ended up trading for a stock Eblue hood last night, clay barred and waxed it today, and this is the final product.

After driving the car for almost a week now I know I made the right decision.

I dont plan to mod it too much, leave the stock turbo, maybe CAI and 3" DP in the future but nothing crazy. Window tint will be first though lol.

those are pretty quick, I looked at getting one too, but i disliked the interior too much.

That is a sweet looking SRT-4....It looks like it cleaned up great!
I've never seen one in that BLUE color.

I'll only caution you about one thing....PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, DO NOT bolt on an aftermarket muffler/fart can!
There are two SRT-4s in my neighborhood, both with aftermarket fart cans, and they are THE WORST sounding cars I have ever heard!
I don't know why, :dunno: but SRT-4s with fart cans sound particularly awful....they make a fart canned Honda sound good!

I almost got a blue one before the Marauder I still like them. The looks leave a little to be desired imo. But they are fun and comfortable I just wish they had cruise control. If I ever did get one it would either be a E-Blue or an 05 ACR in White or Red. Good Luck.

They have a decent sound from the factory since they have no mufflers

i almost bought a acr brand new but bought a ranger. im glad i got that ranger cause that first winter i had it snowed like crazy. and i dont think the neon would have made it thru the winter. but best of luck to you with it looks sweet. i would still buy one if i can.

The term "ricer" has nothing to do with American vs. Asian.

It has everything to do with how one mods their ride. If you put a fart can on it, or stickers, or body kit, flames, anything to make it LOOK fast without doing anything to make it GO fast, you are a ricer.

So far, you are safe. It is still MOPAR which is on the low end of the food chain IMO, but you are technically still sane. :D

Sorry man...the correct term was NIPS. Short for Nippon(s).

I picked it up from my father over the years.
He had a hell of a time in Pearl Harbor at the tender age of 17 and for some odd reason had an issue with japan. :dunno:

some of those little turdmobiles would not look so bad if they did not have those large wings. (i like the cobalt ss without the wing) just think. if you add another wing like that you can lay them across a little creek and cross it like a bridge.
