True Fire. I've been a fan of Mike Lavallee and his True Fire painting technique ever since I first saw it on Overhaulin and Rides. A dream of mine is to have my car painted by Mike. But, that's some serious green, and unless you pay to fly him in, you have to go all the way to Snohomish, WA for the job. Also, the waiting list for custom painted cars is long, long, long.
But, Killer Paint will accept smaller jobs. I was over on their web site and saw that you could send them some photos and get a quote, so I thought, what the heck, I'd like to get my new fuse box cover painted in True Fire, let's see if they'll do it. I sent them photos of my car, engine bay, the cover, and damned if I didn't get a call from Nick at Killer Paint a couple of days later! She said they'd do the job! I sent them the cover the next day!
The cover had already been painted to match my car in Brilliant Black
Crystal Pearl. Today my cover came back from Killer Paint... and wow!
It's AMAZING!!
Here it is right out of the box. You can see the original BBCP metal flake!

So I ran out and put it in the engine bay. It was dark out, but these flash shots do a great job bringing out the color.
